Contraception

Condoms are the only form of protection that can both help to stop the transmission of sexually transmitted infections and can prevent pregnancy.

They are usually made of latex or polyurethane, however latex condoms prove to be slightly more reliable.

Condoms come in different shapes ands sizes. You need to find the correct size for you. When using a condom, you need to use a new one every time you have sexual intercourse, from the start of sexual intercourse to the finish. This will allow for optimal prevention of infection and pregnancies. Never use the same condom twice. To use the condom correctly, put it on after the penis is erect and before any contact is made between the penis and any part of the partner's body.

During your sexual health consultation at 132 Harley St, the nurse will give you condoms and answer any questions you may have about using them.
