Dr Karen Joash is a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology. Dr Karen Joash graduated from Imperial College, London University and successfully obtained a place on the London Postgraduate obstetrics and gynaecology training programme and has worked at many of the prestigious London teaching hospitals during her training.

Gynaecology: She specialises in general gynaecology including well women checks, gynaecology scanning, fertility and contraceptive advice. More specifically; menstrual disorders, postmenopausal bleeding, polyps, endometrial hyperplasia, fibroids, postpartum perineal wound problems, recurrent infections, HPV vaccine and ovarian cysts.Dr Joash also performsoutpatient hysteroscopy.

Obstetrics: With expertise in high risk obstetrics and medical disorders in pregnancy, she is able to cater for the needs of all pregnant women. She is also an expert in maternal mental health and well-being and is able to combine holistic care with maternal choice to provide a secure and happy journey throughout pregnancy to delivery. From waterbirth’s to caesarean delivery she is able to support women with any delivery they choose.

Her passion for excellence in care led to her appointment as Training Programme Director for doctors in postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West London. In addition she is Director of Medical Education for the Women and Children’s division at Imperial Healthcare Trust; and sits on the education quality assurance board at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
